Charger Swimmers Compete in Last Home Meet

by Ni'Shell Johnson

September 18th was the last home game for the Centennial Swimming and Diving team.  The meet was dedicated to the team’s seniors.  One of those seniors, Chelsea Flessner, beat her record of five minutes in the 500 yard freestyle, coming in first place.  Despite winning, Flessner said that she feels nervous before a meet.  She has been swimming since she was a toddler and swimming competetively since she was eleven years old.  Flessner plans to swim in college and her favorite event is the 100 breaststroke.
