The Student of the Week strives to reach out to all kinds of students at Centennial High School. Kendall Schultz is a freshman on the Junior Varsity Cheer Squad. It’s easy to get sucked into getting to know the upperclassmen, so The Centinal chose Kendall to get to know what it’s like to be an underclassmen at Centennial. She is a great example for younger students because she does an excellent job at showing the importance of being involved and knows the key to enjoying the time she has in high school. The Illinois women’s volleyball team started off Illini Sports Week in Ann Arbor, Michigan to take on the Michigan Wolverines; the Illini lost in straight sets 3-0. On Friday the women’s soccer team took on the Minnesota Golden Gophers, with the Illini loosing 3-0. On Saturday, the football team also went to Ann Arbor, Michigan to take on the 25th ranked Wolverines; the Illini loss 45-0. Later that night, the women’s volleyball team took the court again in East Lansing , Michigan to take on the Michigan State Spartans; the Illini won three sets to two sets. On Sunday, the women’s soccer team took on the Wisconsin Badgers; the Illini lost 2-1 in two overtimes.
