Megan Wolter’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.


  • 2 sticks of butter
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 & 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 & 3/4 cup chocolate chips (either milk or dark chocolate or a mixture of both)


Stir the butter until smooth. Add the brown sugar and stir. Add the white sugar and stir again. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, salt, and baking powder. Add the vanilla to the butter and sugar mixture followed by the eggs, each added one at a time. Following that, gently stir in the flour mixture until smooth. Lastly, pour in the chocolate chips and stir until evenly mixed. Then place 6 medium-sized balls of dough on a baking sheet, and place the baking sheet in the oven for 9-11 minutes or until golden brown. Let them cool on the pan for 3-4 minutes and then place them on a baking rack for another 4-6 minutes or until cool.

Pour a glass of milk and enjoy!
