In order to do that, he fakes being sick and his parents let him stay in bed. His sister Jeanie (Jennifer Grey) becomes furious because their parents always make her go to school. Meanwhile, at the high school, Ed Rooney (Jeffrey Jones), the school principal, doesn’t believe Ferris is sick at all. Throughout the movie, Ferris and his friends have fun in Chicago while Ed Rooney tries to track Ferris down and punish him for taking a day off.
