Veteran Linebacker Brian Urlacher is retiring after 13 seasons, all with one team the Chicago Bears. His contract expired earlier in the year with the Bears but was never signed by another team. His decision became clear once he considered the fact that he could retire wearing only one jersey.
He missed the final four games last season with a hamstring injury. He was the face of the franchise for the 2000’s and early 2010’s. Yet, he never was able to win a Super Bowl. The closest he came to a Super Bowl ring was in 2006 when the Bears made it to Super Bowl XLI to face the Peyton Manning led Colts. Unfortunately the bears lost the game. He had a great career and will be hard for the Bears to replace the leadership he had. He will be missed.
