Centennial’s Creative Writing Club will have its first meeting of the year this Tuesday, September 17, after school in room 226. Information about the club will be given, as well as fun creative writing exercises!

On September 10, the United States Men’s soccer team took on the Mexican Men’s soccer team. The United States needed to win the game. Along with the win, they needed a draw from the Honduras vs. Panama game to punch their ticket to the 2014 FIFA World Cup, which will take place in Brazil next summer. After the first 45 minutes in the match, the game between the United States and Mexico was tied at 0. Finally, in the 49th minute, USA scored a goal from a header by Eddie Johnson, making the scoreline 1-0. In the 78th minute, USA’s all-time leading goal scorer Landon Donovan scored, making the score line 2-0 in the United States’s favor.
