Fall Movies

Many new movies have been released this fall. Here is a glimpse of some of the must-sees for this season.

One highly rated movie released recently is called Rush, starring Chris Hemsworth. Critics have given it an 89% on Rotten Tomatoes. It has been said that, “It’s a sleek, slick, well-oiled machine, Rush is a finely crafted sports drama with exhilarating race sequences and strong performances from Chris Hemsworth and Daniel Brühl.” This film is going to use original cars from the time period 1976, but it will also use modern cars made to look like vintage cars.

Another popular movie released was Insidious: Chapter 2.  It is a PG-13 movie directed by James Wan starring Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Barbara Hershey, Lin Shayne, and Ty Simpkins.  It is a supernatural horror sequel that follows a couple that is connected to the spirit world.  So far its box office total is over $65,000,000.  It has a 7.2/10 rating. A fellow junior, Tyranny Davis had this to say about the movie, “It was a really good jumpy movie. I recommend it to anyone who like scary movies!”

Also the One Direction: This Is Us movie came out in August 2013. It is a PG 3-D concert film about the British-Irish band One Direction.  It tells the story of how the 5 boys- Zayn Malik,   Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, and Liam Payne- grew from small-town boys to super stars.  It has footage from the road trips and live shows the boys have experienced. It has a 5.8/10 rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Sophmore, Katherine Hayek said, “The movie was perfect, I enjoyed every minute of it!”
