Jimmy Fitzgerald is a talented student-athlete that goes to Centennial high school. Fitzgerald is the quarterback for the Centennial varsity football team and is a standout player. Not only does he dedicate his time to football and academics, but also is involved in choir and NHS. Jimmy’s hard work and effort that brought him success is one of the many reasons why he was chosen for this week’s Student of the Week.
The Centinal: How do you feel the season went?
Fitzgerald: I felt like it was a good building year, but it was fun playing with the team. I enjoyed playing with some childhood friends Steven Lee and Austin Maltbia. We played well and I can’t wait until next year.
The Centinal: What was the highlight of your season?
Fitzgerald: Definitely beating Central.
The Centinal: What are your goals for next season?
Fitzgerald: To be undefeated.
The Centinal: Have you been offered scholarships by any colleges? If so then which ones?
Fitzgerald: Yes, Illinois, Harvard, and Yale have offered. I’m also hearing from Michigan, Indiana, Notre Dame, and Duke
The Centinal: What extra curricular activities are you involved in?
Fitzgerald: Choir and NHS.
