What Centennial Students are Thankful for

by Jordin Hopkins

Thanksgiving is a time to enjoy with family and friends. It’s a time to truly reflect what we have in our lives. It is also a time to enjoy delicious homemade food. Whether it be the homes we live in or the people we share our lives with, we all have something to be thankful for. The Centinal asked a group of students and teachers what they’re thankful for this year.

Ms. Houchens: My faith. My family (including friends). My life. Without these three things I would be insignificant and lost. All three of these things have shaped who I am today.

Bri Mingo: I am thankful for Ms. Houchens’s buying four Earth Candles from me to support my cheer team. If’ you’re interested in buying a candle for a Christmas gift, buy from a Varsity cheerleader (I’d prefer you buy from me). But they come already gift wrapped, and the delivery date is around December 17th. Only $12!

Alayna Jackson: I am thankful for the ability to do the things I love with people I love.

Hope Nelson: I’m thankful for my twin sister who’s always there for me and never gives up on me.

Sammy Lack: I am thankful for my family, my warm home, and my athleticism. Not a day goes by where I don’t see how lucky I am.

Arielle Britten: Joakim Noah. Oreos. Jesus. My body and mind. Mis amigos. My grandma. The Weeknd.

Claire Mallare: I’m thankful for my friends and family for always making me smile.

Ryan Grizzard: I’m thankful for my mother and everything she has done for me. Without her love and support, I wouldn’t nearly be the person I am today.

Let your friends and family know how much you appreciate them! Have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving, Centennial!
