Centennial Art Club

by Jasmine Kyler

Throughout Centennial, there are many different clubs and extra curriculars to be involved in, including Art Club. Held on several Tuesdays after school in room 207B, Art Club is home to a welcoming environment that allows for your creativity to flow and ideas to flourish, resulting in amazing works of art.

When asked her feelings on Art Club, senior Art Club member Anna Pryde-Wait commented, ” It gives me something to look forward to on Tuesdays. I love being able to be creative and pass time with friends, while making something that I can be proud of.”

Although there are Art Club members, anyone is welcome to attend any of the activities. Mrs. Percoco, an art teacher at Centennial and the Art Club leader, plans many fun projects for those who attend, including tie-dying, ceramics, and many holiday-based projects. You can become a member at any time during the school year, and even purchase an Art Club t-shirt, designed by senior member Rachel Chung, for only ten dollars.

Meeting days for the rest of the year are as follows:

  • November 19
  • December 5
  • December 17
  • January 14
  • January 28
  • Februrary 11
  • Februrary 25
  • March 11
  • April 1

So, if you ever find yourself bored on a Tuesday afternoon, pay a visit to Centennial’s Art Club. It is sure to be an exciting and creative time!
