It’s almost time for graduation, my fellow seniors! This means the hustle and bustle of graduation is upon us. While finalizing all our preparations for our big day, we have to worry about finals! At least that is how it used to be. In the past, seniors were blessed with the “senior policy,” a policy that allowed seniors to not take a final if they had an A in the class. It is my pleasure to tell you… IT’S BACK!
The Centinal got to interview senior English teacher Kara Downs about this surprising change in our school!
The Centinal: Is this true?
Kara Downs: Yes.
The Centinal: Why did the administration decide to bring back the senior policy?
KD: A group of teachers went to them saying that having emptier classrooms were beneficial to other students’ concentration during finals, and how hardworking seniors should be rewarded for their hard work.
The Centinal: Do you agree with this decision? Why or why not?
KD: Yes, when seniors go to college, they will always have the option whether or not to take finals.
Congrats, seniors! We have an easy way out. The more A’s you have, then the less finals you have to take. Hard work pays off. As May 28th approaches, try not to slack off too much because everything you just read is a lie. You do have to take finals! Have a great April Fools Day!
