Soccer Kicks off the Season

by InRealLife

“One of our main goals with year is to beat Central when we play them at home.” says senior captain Thomas Hazlewood.  So far the Centennial Soccer Team has won one of their four games, but is making huge strides to a successful season.

With tryouts in early August and practices sense then, this team led by a great group of senior players and coach, Andrew Peralta, has all the tools to reach one of their other goals, which is to win regionals.

Interested in joining the the soccer team?  Next year there will be more tryouts in early August, and Thomas has some advice for anyone wanting to tryout:  “It really helps to go to the senior and coach led workouts in the summer before tryouts.”

Be sure to attend the Centennial vs. Central game on Tuesday, September sixteenth, at 6 pm and the Centennial vs. Urbana game on Thursday, September eighteenth, at 6pm, both at the Centennial soccer field!
