Friday February 20th Book maker Bea Nettles came to Centennial High School to give a workshop to Mrs. Grosses Advanced Placement Studio Art. Bea taught students how to create a box top and bottom from paper and showed them three ways to fold paper the students had water marbled so that they could be books. After everyone had created their books Nettles pulled out a box of small books her past students had made and told the story for each one. From books that were typical to a book that was encased in a lipstick tube Nettles had everything. The students were very exited and thankful that Nettles was willing to spend two hours out of her day to come and open up doors to making new art.
