Charger Archers Win at State
From the archery team press release:
Centennial High School and Jefferson Middle School Archery Teams have each won the state title in their division at the 2015 State Championship.
“We are incredibly proud of the archery programs that have been established in our schools,” said Superintendent Dr. Judy Wiegand. “Archery has engaged students from all backgrounds and interests to work toward a common goal outside the classroom. Our programs have risen to excellence in such a short time because of the dedicated coaches, staff, and families that have supported our Unit 4 students in their goals.”
The Centennial Chargers earned a team score of 3336 out of 3600 and were the top scoring team of the entire State tournament, setting a state record for the highest team score ever earned at the State tournament. This is only the second year of the program at Centennial.
Individual medalists from Centennial include:
Haylie Denzer: 2nd place
Ally Miller: 5th place
William McNattin: 2nd place
