Late last weekend a devastating earthquake that has killed over 4,600 people and left millions of people affected hit Nepal. Formally known as the Federal Democratic Republic Of Nepal located on the southern boarder of Asia, a once-thriving nation is now home to an abundance of grief. Like Kisnor Raj Giri, a 22-year-old man from Kathmandu who lost members of his family in the quake, said he was too scared to return home. The sad thing is even if he was to return home it would not have been the same as when he left 70% of the homes were destroyed.
Striking in at a scary 7.8 on the Richter Scale, this was by far the worst earthquake to hit this area in over 80 years. As we speak Nepal is still in a state of emergency and grief until they find out how to revive themselves from this terrible disaster.
