Charger Spotlight: Centennial Soccer

by Zack Miller

The soccer program at Centennial is a prominent organization. Tryouts can be arduous in return for a spot on the team. But with all the student athletes that are involved in the program, the request for the support of the school is still a loud one. The Centinal spoke with JV soccer player Salaman Amindavar about Centennial’s soccer program.

“Just like any other sport, we play to win and we play for our school.” said Amindavar.  “Having lots of fans and students watching our games would be an awesome way to support us.”.  The soccer team is a band of brothers who sacrifice time and effort to put in practice hours and conditioning hours in hopes that the hard work will reflect on the field. The Chargers play against UNI High this upcoming Tuesday here at Centennial.

All students have an opportunity to go out and support the Charger’s soccer program as they battle UNI high. Will you show your support and attend the game #ChargedUp? View the schedule here at http://www.maxpreps.com/high-schools/centennial-chargers-(champaign,il)/soccer/home.htm
