Girls Volleyball is a fall sport at Centennial High School. If you are interested in trying out for this sport they are held 2 weeks prior to when school begins. There is a Freshmen, Junior Varsity, and a Varsity team. We have home and away matches like any other sports team, all the teams participate in these matches. The matches are usually held on Tuesdays and Thursdays freshman start at 6 then JV and Varsity.
Interact is a club for seniors that was created in 1978. Interact is largely connected with the local rotary. The club works to organize events at Centennial. Recently Interact put together a barn dance to welcome Freshmen to Centennial. One of the club sponsors, Ms. Margulis commented “the Freshmen dance was a huge hit, having a little over 100 attendants.”
Student Council is a great way to be involved with the school. Students in student council plan many events for the school like Homecoming, Vice Versa, and Spirit Week. Student Council also does community service projects like handing out water during marathons or ringing the bell during the holidays.
The soccer program at Centennial is a prominent organization. Tryouts can be arduous in return for a spot on the team. Continue reading Charger Spotlight: Centennial Soccer
The annual freshman dance took on a barn theme this year. Centennial’s Interact Club uses this dance as a way to welcome freshman to their Charger experience. Students danced, took pictures on hay and most importantly had fun.
