Boys Golf: Season Wrap-up

by Corey Hall

The boys golf season has recently concluded and another fun year for Centennial is in the books. The boys did well and had some great golfers including Connor Hagan and Cam Hedge. Connor and Cam won Better Ball this year at The Mt. Zion Invitational and both made it to sectionals. I caught up with both golfers to talk about the season.

What was your favorite golf memory this year?

Hagan: Winning at Mt. Zion and making it out of regionals.

What do you enjoy most about golf?

Hagan: The mental aspect of the game.

What are your expectations for next year?

Hagan: Our team goal is to make it to sectionals and I would like to make it to state next year.

What was your favorite golf memory his year?

Hedge:  There was so many fun memories it’s hard to pick one. It was nice to see 3 people make it to sectionals which was an improvement from last year.

What are your plans for golf after high school?

Hedge: I’m undecided but pondering the decision to play golf in college.

What do you enjoy most about golf?

Hedge: I enjoy practicing all the time. I like that you can play the same game on any different course and it always changes.

Cam had a very successful junior year as well getting 2nd in regionals. Cam also plays baseball and is considered a three sport athlete if you count floor hockey.
