Oscars Preview

The first Oscars award ceremony took place in 1928, in Los Angeles California. A few awards that were won that night were, Best Actor went to Emil Jannings for the movie The Last Command. Best director went to Lewis Milestone for the movie Two Arabian Knights. This year in 2018 will mark the 90th anniversary, which is taking place in Los Angeles California; Hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.

Animated Short “Dear Basketball”, Glean Keane and Kobe Bryant. Original Screenplay “Lady Bird”, Greta Gerwig. Best Documentary Feature, “Stong island” Yance ford, Joclyn Barnes. Best Documentary Short Subject, “Knife Skills”, Thomas Lennon. Best Foriegn Language Film, “A Fantastic Woman” (Chile). Sound Editing “Star Wars: The Last Jedi”, Stuart Wilson, Ren Klyce, David Parker, Mkichael Semanick. Sarah Greenwood; Katie Spencer. Visual Effects “War for the Planet of the Apes”, Joe Letteri, Dan Lemmon, Daniel Barrett and Joel Whist.
