Spirit week is right around the corner and Centennial students have a lot of activities planned. Spirit week dress up days are Tacky Tuesday, Way Back Wednesday, Mardi Gras theme on Thursday, and Blue and White on Friday.
On Tuesday there will be a home volleyball game against Springfield High School. Freshman play at 5pm, JV at 6pm, and Varsity at 8pm. The homecoming tailgate is on Wednesday at 4:30pm and will have free food, games, and music. After that, the Powder Puff Football game is at 6:30pm and Macho Volleyball is at 7:30pm. After school on Thursday there will be a Mardi Gras Festival in the courtyard. Students will judge the staff in a Jambalaya Cook Off and the teacher homecoming court will the announced there. On Friday, the pep rally will take place during 7th and 8th hour. The football game will be at 7pm against Urbana High School.
Tickets for the homecoming dance must be purchased before Saturday night and you cannot be on social probation. They will be sold before or after school in the main entrance hallway and during lunch hours on October 1-4 for $5. Homecoming is from 7:30-10pm and the theme is Mardi Gras. The entry will be right by the art room on the north entrance. There will be refreshments offered throughout the night and there will be a photobooth to take pictures with you and your friends.
