Student of the Week: Michael Braverman
Chargers senior, Michael Braverman, finished in the top six as Centennial won the Champaign County Invitational last Tuesday and also won medalist honors at the Danville Viking Invitational in a second-place team finish for the Chargers last Friday. Braverman shot a 1-under-par 71 for the win. Not only is Braverman this week Student of the Week for The Centinal but he was also the Athlete of the Week last week for the News-Gazette.

2013-2014 Wrestling Season
The wrestling season was a very interesting this year. After losing their main key wrestlers Austen Schott and Darren Wynn, the squad still managed to have a decent overall team record. Although having some rough personal records this season, wrestlers Austin Maltbia, Darnell Flemings, Dom Harmon, and Sammie Lack all advanced to sectionals . Student of the Week: Devin Kyler
This week’s Student of the Week is Centennial’s junior Devin Kyler. Devin is an student-athlete here at Centennial who plays not only basketball, but also volleyball and soccer. Devin has started on varsity soccer since her freshman year. Besides sports, Devin is an outgoing intelligent girl who is also caring. I’ve gotten a chance to sit down and talk with Devin, and I asked her several questions.

Student Council is responsible for Homecoming activities and dances. They also promote school spirit and leadership. This week’s Student of the Week is Austin Maltbia. Austin is a football player here at Centennial High School. He’s a junior runningback but this is Austin’s second year playing varsity football.
