The final game of the 2013-2014 NFL season takes place on February 2nd with Super Bowl XLVIII. The AFC champions Denver Broncos take on the NFC champions Seattle Seahawks. This game takes place in the New York/ New Jersey area at Metlife Stadium which is an outdoor stadium. So there is a chance that this Super Bowl could break the record for coldest Super Bowl ever which was set at Super Bowl VI at 39 degrees Fahrenheit. The forecast calls for 26 degrees Fahrenheit. Both teams play in cold weather so it should not affect them very much. Week 14 saw the Chicago Bears play on Monday Night Football against the Dallas Cowboys. The Bears looked to break a 2 game losing skid and with the loss of the Lions the day before the Bears had a chance to become tied for first place in the NFC north. That night also saw the Bears retire the number 89 of hall of fame tight end and head coach Mike Ditka. Starting Quarterback Jay Cutler also missed another game with his high ankle sprain.
