Charger of the week: Omar Yaseen

The Centinal sat down with Omar Yaseen. He is a sophomore at Centennial and enjoys soccer, spoken word, and poetry. He performed in Centennial’s talent show, spectrum, in January, delivering a powerful spoken word performance.

The Centinal: What do you enjoy most about Centennial?

Omar Yaseen: Probably the air conditioning. It gets really hot in this school come summertime so that’s definitely.

TC: What are your favorite hobbies?

OY: Kanye West is my favorite hobby, no doubt. He’s one of the greatest artists out there and will be for awhile.

TC: What is your favorite food?

OY: Mac N Cheese is the best.

TC: What’s your favorite clothing brand?

OY: Tommy Hilfiger. Gotta wear them tommy’s, you know?

TC: If you could live anywhere, where would it be?

OY: Probably Gaza, because it’s beautiful.

TC: If you were given a million dollars, what would you do with it?

OY: Give half of it to kids in need in Palestine and then spend the rest of it on purchasing donuts.

If you see Omar in the halls, make sure to ask him why Kanye is a better artist than J Cole, why he loves donuts so much, or why he knows so many embarrasing things about his U.S. History teacher, Jorie Grande.
