Michael Finke (Boy’s Basketball)

Michael Finke is a sophomore starting on Varsity Boys Basketball, this is his first year. In the last game against Cahokia Wirth Michael Finke scored a game high of 20 points.  Not only is he a talented athlete, but he’s also a member of Student Council and is on the Honor Roll.

University of Illinois Area High School Art Exhibition

The University of Illinois hosted the 2nd annual exhibition of artwork by area high school students. The gallery opened on December 6th and will remain open until January 8th. The event was sponsored by School of Art + Design and Krannert Art Museum. This offered high school students the chance to present their work to the community. The exhibition is in the Link Gallery 408 E. Peabody Dr., Champaign.

10 Year-Old’s Death Stuns All

Bullying is the act of intentionally hurting someone, whether it be physically or emotionally. Bullying hurts people of all ages, shapes, and sizes. Almost everyone has experienced it at least once. However, for Ashlynn Conner, bullying cost her her life.

Ashlynn Conner was a classic 10-year-old midwestern gal. She was on her school honor roll, a cheerleader, and an aspiring veterinarian.

K-pop Finds a Champaign Audience

Champaign-Urbana is, without a doubt, a college town. With the popular University comes the wide-spread diversity of cultures, languages, ethnic groups and tastes. One such taste is the genre of “K-pop”, or Korean pop music.
